Job Description :
We are seeking an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner to join a growing department in Montclair, NJ- 20 mi from NYC. Please forward an updated resume if you are interested in further discussions.
About Your Work:
- Join an established hospital department w/ 10 physicians and 3 Advanced Practice Providers
- Inpatient-only setting
- Provide consultation to staff, participate in patient rounds and case conferences, and provide education to clinical team members as indicated
- Evaluate treatment and health care plans for effectiveness and modifies per clinical standards and practice protocols
- Assist in surgical procedures, including preoperative patient evaluation, intraoperative assistance, and postoperative follow-up care. Surgical first assist in operating room and procedural areas as needed
- Assist in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of research protocols when applicable
- Epic: EMR

Required Qualifications :
Required Experience:
- Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program or Certification from the National Certification for Physician Assistants (PA-C)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Orthopaedic subspecialty
- Preferred: 1-2 years of Surgical Experience
